EV Royale Condo (1646 Dundas St. West)
The LPAT (Local Planning Appeals Tribunal) hearing concluded on September 24th, 2019, and the final decision from Madame Chair is pending and expected by end of November. We are hopeful for a positive ending and thank everyone for their tremendous support!
The Erindale Academy (1576 and 1584 Dundas St. West)
Since the LPAT decision on February 7th, 2019 to dismiss the minor variance appeal to facilitate a major school expansion, there has been no new application submitted to the City, however, we understand this is forthcoming and we are monitoring.
Student Housing / Rentals
residents have contacted the Board and City of Mississauga about
concerns over student rentals increase in the Village. As a result, the
EVA Board has decided to form a Special Committee to research the concerns, gather the facts, understand the applicable laws, and develop an action plan if deemed necessary. If you are interested in this important matter and would like to serve as a member on this new committee, please let us know!
Annual Membership Drive
Please help us complete the collection of our 2019 membership fee ($20) and updating of your contact information by the end of this month. We will be contacting those who have not paid yet and greatly appreciate your continued support!
Yoga Classes Anyone?
Are you interested in attending a FREE introductory yoga class at the Community Hall on a weekend in the near future? If so, please let us know! We are seeking feedback to pass onto an instructor who approached us with interest in holding regular monthly classes at the Hall next year for a nominal fee. The initial free class and potential future classes are for all fitness levels and beginners are encouraged. Further details will be provided based on level of interest, so please RSVP.
Proudfoot Street – Repaving and LID (Low Impact Development) Stormwater Management. The City has informed us that this work (previously planned for this year) will, unfortunately, be delayed until 2020.
